This page explains the cookies and similar technologies (local storage, session storage, IndexedDB) used on frontberg.com and inside the Tapznap product. We follow the EU GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive: anything that is not strictly necessary requires your consent, and you can change your mind at any time.
1. Categories
Essential
Required for the site to work. Examples: keeping you logged in, carrying CSRF tokens, remembering language and accent preference, completing payments. These are set without a banner because the site cannot function without them. Lawful basis: legitimate interest / contract performance (no consent needed).
Analytics
Anonymous traffic measurement so we can fix bugs and prioritise features. We do not sell this data. Default: off. Lawful basis: consent.
Marketing
Referral attribution and ad-pixel cookies — only loaded if you arrived via a partner or paid campaign. Default: off. Lawful basis: consent.
Personalization
Tailored feed recommendations and A/B test bucketing. Default: off. Lawful basis: consent.
2. Managing your choices
On your first visit a banner asks you to choose. After that, change anytime under Profile settings → Data → Cookie preferences. Clearing your browser cookies will re-show the banner.
3. Third-party cookies
We use Stripe for payments (essential), Vercel for hosting (essential), and may use a privacy-focused analytics provider (analytics consent only). LiveKit handles real-time audio/video and loads only on pages that need it. We do not currently use Meta / Google ad pixels.
4. Retention
Session cookies expire when you close the browser. Persistent cookies expire automatically: essential auth ≤ 30 days; analytics ≤ 13 months; marketing ≤ 13 months. Local storage entries we set carry the same intent and can be cleared via data export or by clearing your browser data.
